Roles & Responsibilities
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for raw materials, hardware, accessories, laminates, boards, upholstery, and other furniture-related materials.
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Build long-term relationships with key suppliers and continuously assess vendor performance.
Cost Control & Negotiation
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings.
- Monitor market trends, material prices, and supply risks to optimize procurement decisions.
- Ensure procurement aligns with project budgets and company financial goals.
Inventory & Planning
- Plan material requirements based on production schedules and project timelines.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
- Coordinate with production, design, and project teams to ensure material availability.
ERP & Documentation (Odoo)
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes using Odoo ERP, including:
- Purchase requisitions and purchase orders
- Vendor records and pricing
- GRN, invoicing, and payment coordination
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with internal processes.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure materials meet required quality standards and specifications.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and material approvals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Team Coordination & Reporting
- Lead and guide the procurement team (if applicable).
- Prepare procurement reports on cost savings, vendor performance, and inventory status.
- Work closely with finance, production, and project management teams.
Key Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of procurement experience specifically in the furniture or interior industry.
- Strong knowledge of furniture materials, hardware, finishes, and manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience with Odoo ERP (mandatory).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Strong analytical and planning abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in handling large-scale projects and multiple vendors.(Preferred : Candidate who knows more vendors in Karnataka).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
