A Construction Procurement Manager's responsibilities involve strategically sourcing, negotiating, and buying materials, equipment, and services for projects, focusing on cost savings, timely delivery, quality, and risk management, all while managing supplier relations, contracts, and aligning with project timelines through strong communication with project teams, vendors, and stakeholders. Key duties include supplier evaluation, contract negotiation, budget control, risk mitigation (insurance, supply chain), ensuring compliance, and overseeing logistics from purchase to site delivery, impacting project profitability and efficiency. Core Responsibilities

  • Strategic Sourcing: Identify needs, research suppliers, conduct tenders, and select vendors for materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
  • Negotiation & Contracts: Negotiate favorable terms (price, quality, delivery) and manage contracts, change orders, and commercial aspects with suppliers and contractors.
  • Supplier Management: Build, maintain, and evaluate strong supplier relationships, ensuring performance, service levels, and managing supplier bases.
  • Cost & Budget Control: Develop budgets, monitor expenses, forecast price trends, and implement strategies for cost reduction and value for money.
  • Risk Management: Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including securing project insurance (e.g., CAR, Engineering Insurance) and ensuring supply chain security.

Project & Operations

  • Project Alignment: Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and internal departments (supply chain, finance) to align procurement with project schedules and goals.
  • Logistics & Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end process, ensuring timely, efficient delivery of resources to project sites.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track vendor performance, manage contract compliance, and ensure adherence to company policies and industry standards.

Key Skills

  • Strong negotiation, communication, leadership, and data analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and understanding of market trends.
  • Attention to detail and financial acumen for cost analysis.
  • Exp: 5 to 10 Years in procurement at construction company.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
