Procurement Officer

Exp :2-3 Years

Duties and responsibilities:

1. Manage end-to-end procurement for all joinery materials including wood, laminates, MDF, plywood, hardware, and finishing products.

2. Source and develop relationships with reliable local and international suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing, quality standards, and timely delivery.

3. Coordinate closely with the design, production, and project teams to align material procurement with project schedules and specifications.

4. Negotiate contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules to reduce costs and mitigate supply risks.

5. Track material consumption and monitor inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock availability without overstocking.

6. Review technical drawings and specifications to confirm that materials ordered match project needs.

7. Oversee the quality control process for incoming materials, working with QA/QC teams to reject substandard items and address supplier issues.

8. Maintain accurate procurement documentation, including PO logs, delivery notes, invoices, and vendor agreements.

9. Manage procurement budgets, regularly updating forecasts and cost reports to support financial planning.

10. Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, including customs documentation, import permits, and VAT processes.

11. Analyze market trends and material pricing, identifying opportunities for cost savings and long-term supplier contracts.

12. Implement and optimize ERP or procurement systems, improving tracking, reporting, and process efficiency.

13. Lead and train junior procurement staff, ensuring standard operating procedures are followed and skills are developed.
