EDGE Contracting is seeking a qualified and experienced Procurement Officer to join our construction company, responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing procurement activities to support project success.
Responsibilities
1. Procurement Planning: Develop and implement procurement strategies, policies, and procedures based on the Company Quality Management System
2. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers, ensuring compliance with company standards.
3. Contract Management: Negotiate, draft, and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
4. Purchasing: Coordinate with the Site Purchase requests, Place orders, and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
5. Cost Control: Monitor and control procurement costs, identifying opportunities for savings.
6. Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, laws, and regulations.
7. Reporting: Provide regular procurement reports and analysis to management.
Requirements
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
2. Experience: Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in the construction industry.
3. Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desired Qualifications
1. Certifications: CIPS, PMP, or similar procurement certifications.
2. Knowledge: Familiarity with construction industry standards and regulations.
