Procurement Officer

Material & Equipment Procurement

• Source and procure MEP materials such as HVAC equipment, electrical components, plumbing fixtures, cables, pipes, valves, fittings, and consumables.
• Review material submittals, technical specifications, and project BOQs to ensure compliance before purchasing.
• Request, evaluate, and compare quotations from approved suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare purchase orders (POs) and ensure timely approvals.

Supplier & Vendor Management

• Maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and warranty conditions.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and service.
• Maintain and update the approved vendor list (AVL).

Project Coordination

• Coordinate closely with project engineers, site teams, planning, and stores to understand material requirements.
• Track delivery schedules and ensure materials reach the site on time to avoid project delays.
• Follow up on material shortages, urgent requirements, and long‑lead items.
• Support the technical team in obtaining samples, catalogues, and compliance documents.

Documentation & Compliance

• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, project specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, logs, and reports.
• Review invoices, delivery notes, and supplier documentation for accuracy.
• Assist in preparing procurement status reports for management and project teams.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of MEP materials, equipment, and suppliers
• Understanding of construction project workflows
• Negotiation and communication skills
• Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Odoo, etc.)
• Ability to read technical drawings and BOQs
• Time management and multitasking abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
• 2–5 years Mandotory of procurement experience in MEP or construction industry
• Knowledge of UAE market suppliers (for GCC roles) is an advantage
• Driving license and immediate joining preferable
