📝 Job Objective

The Procurement Officer is responsible for streamlining sourcing processes, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services. This role focuses on optimizing cost efficiency and maintaining inventory levels to meet organizational needs. Additionally, the officer cultivates supplier relationships, evaluates supplier performance, and enforces compliance with procurement policies and regulations to support operational objectives and drive strategic sourcing initiatives.

📌 Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate within an integrated procurement team across multiple projects at all stages of the procurement process.
  • Ensure adequate supply of all required materials, components, and equipment as per project specifications and budget.
  • Regularly communicate with suppliers to renegotiate prices.
  • Prepare bid tabs and purchase orders.
  • Manage purchase requisitions and orders.
  • Follow up on purchase orders until delivery to the project site.
  • Prepare RFPs and RFQs and send them to suppliers.
  • Research and identify new suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues or concerns.

🎓 Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement management tools.
  • Strong communication skills with customers and colleagues.
