Job Title: Technical Purchaser / Procurement Officer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Technical Purchaser to manage daily spot purchasing and procurement activities for technical, engineering, maintenance, and operational requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong sourcing and negotiation skills, extensive knowledge of technical products and equipment, and the ability to procure urgent requirements efficiently while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily spot purchasing for technical, engineering, maintenance, and operational materials.
• Source suppliers and obtain competitive quotations for technical products, spare parts, equipment, and services.
• Evaluate technical specifications and ensure purchased items meet required standards.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms with vendors.
• Issue purchase orders and monitor order progress to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, operations, and project teams to understand procurement requirements.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and identify alternative sources when necessary.
• Monitor market trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Resolve supplier issues related to quality, delivery, and technical compliance.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company purchasing procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in technical procurement or purchasing.
• Strong knowledge of industrial equipment, mechanical parts, electrical components, MRO items, and technical materials.
• Experience handling daily spot purchases and urgent procurement requests.
• Ability to read and understand technical specifications, drawings, and datasheets.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and supplier management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP procurement systems.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, construction, oil & gas, utilities, or industrial operations.
• Knowledge of local and international sourcing.
• Experience with vendor evaluation and contract negotiations.
