Procurement Officer (Landscaping Company)

Job Description & Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing & Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for plants, trees, fertilizers, irrigation systems, and hardscape materials.
  • Negotiation & Contracting: Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings and ensure quality standards.
  • Procurement Operations: Process purchase requisitions, prepare purchase orders (POs), and manage the end-to-end purchasing process.
  • Logistics & Coordination: Coordinate with site teams and project managers to track deliveries and ensure on-time availability of materials.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of purchased products, invoices, and supplier contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Cost Control: Review BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and drawings, conduct cost analyses, and prepare comparative statements for approvals.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience in procurement, specifically in landscaping, construction, or contracting.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or Agriculture.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of local UAE suppliers, market trends, and materials (softscape, hardscape, irrigation).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (specifically Excel) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • License: A valid UAE Driving License is often mandatory.
  • Attributes: High level of integrity, strong negotiation skills, and ability to work under pressure.
