Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Officer with solid knowledge of logistics and supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will manage supplier sourcing, purchase orders, international shipments, and coordination with freight forwarders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement
- Source and negotiate with local and international suppliers
- Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate quotations, and perform cost comparisons
- Generate purchase orders and follow up on order confirmations
- Maintain strong relationships with OEMs and vendors
- Monitor delivery timelines and ensure compliance with agreed terms
- Maintain accurate procurement records in ERP/CRM systems
Logistics & Supply Chain
- Coordinate international shipments (air/sea/land)
- Liaise with freight forwarders and clearing agents
- Manage import/export documentation (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, COO, HS Codes, etc.)
- Track shipments and ensure timely customs clearance
- Optimize freight cost and delivery schedules
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement within industrial/engineering trading companies
- Strong understanding of UAE import/export procedures and customs regulations
- Experience handling international suppliers and freight forwarders
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Odoo, or similar)
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficient in MS Excel
Preferred
- Experience working with industrial equipment or technical products
- Knowledge of Incoterms and international trade compliance
- Experience managing OEM relationships
