Position Overview
TAI USA, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Operations Specialist to support supplier management, purchasing operations, procurement system activities, and cross‑functional coordination across its U.S. offices. The selected candidate will contribute to supplier development, execute day‑to‑day procurement processes, use and maintain vendor and procurement records within the company’s supplier management systems, and support commercial activities in compliance with aerospace and defense industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier & Procurement Management
- Develop and maintain a reliable supplier ecosystem meeting aerospace/defense quality, traceability, and certification requirements
- Support purchasing activities including collecting quotes, comparing pricing, and preparing purchase orders
- Coordinate order placement, delivery tracking, and documentation
- Maintain communication with suppliers regarding lead times, shipments, and basic performance issues
- Ensure required certificates and documents are received with purchased items
- Support the upkeep, accuracy, and basic maintenance of supplier software systems to ensure data integrity, proper documentation, and compliance with internal and industry standards
Commercial & Contract Management
- Knowledge of ITAR/EAR export compliance preferred.
- Assist in preparing commercial terms, delivery schedules, and contract documents
- Support RFQ/RFI processes in collaboration with engineering and project teams
- Provide basic commercial and technical evaluations with guidance from senior staff
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as a focal point for assigned projects.
- Collaborate with internal departments (engineering, quality, production, planning, finance).
- Maintain effective communication with international customers and suppliers.
- Monitor service performance and support resolution of operational issues.
- Serve as a communication point between procurement and internal teams (engineering, quality, finance, planning)
- Support issue resolution related to deliveries, documentation, or supplier communication
- Coordinate with international suppliers and customers in a professional manner
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, International Relations, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing roles (manufacturing or aerospace/defense preferred but not required)
- U.S. Citizenship required (in compliance with U.S. international trade regulations).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Turkish is a plus).
- Familiarity with basic contract terms, pricing, and procurement processes
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/MRP procurement systems.
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage stakeholders and work collaboratively across teams.
- Currently residing in the company locations or willing to relocate (no relocation assistance provided).
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently within the United States (approximately 30% of the time).
