About the Position:
Intuitive Machines is seeking a Procurement Planner on the NASA OMES III contract who will serve as the single point of contact for the end-to-end procurement process for contract requirements. The position requires strong organizational skills, a working knowledge of procurement principles and regulations The position is located in Greenbelt , MD.
Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for all OMES III procurement requests.

Conduct intake reviews of procurement requests to assess completeness, technical clarity, and alignment with program and contract requirements.

Work closely with the procurement team to identify qualified, capable vendors for each procurement requirement.

Support market research activities to assess vendor landscape, pricing benchmarks, and sourcing options.

Coordinate the solicitation of quotes and proposals from vendors, ensuring responses are complete and responsive to stated requirements.

Assist in evaluating vendor quotes against technical requirements, quality standards, and cost reasonableness.

Facilitate vendor selection discussions with procurement personnel and program leadership as needed.

Initiate procurement actions by preparing or coordinating the required procurement request documentation, statements of work, and supporting justifications.

Track all open procurements from initiation through award, delivery, and acceptance, maintaining accurate status records at each stage.

Coordinate with procurement personnel to resolve issues affecting procurement timelines, including vendor delays, specification changes, or funding adjustments.

Monitor procurement schedules and proactively communicate schedule risks or changes to the requester, end-user, and PMO leadership.

Support procurement closeout activities including final acceptance, invoice reconciliation, and documentation archiving.

Provide consistent, proactive status updates to requesters and end-users throughout the procurement lifecycle, serving as the single point of contact for all procurement-related inquiries.

Respond promptly to customer questions, escalations, and changes in requirements, coordinating internally to implement updates without losing procurement momentum.

Develop and maintain procurement tracking tools (e.g., dashboards, status logs, or SharePoint lists) to provide visibility into open, in-progress, and completed procurements.

Participate in regular program reviews and PMO meetings to report on procurement pipeline status, risks, and upcoming actions.
Required Qualifications:
- Seven or more years of experience in procurement planning, purchasing, supply chain management, or a closely related field.

Demonstrated experience serving as a point of contact or coordinator for procurement activities in a government, contractor, or commercial environment.

Working knowledge of the end-to-end procurement process including requirements definition, vendor sourcing, quote evaluation, purchase order initiation, and delivery tracking.

Experience working directly with customers or requesters to define and clarify procurement requirements.

Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and government procurement compliance standards.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of concurrent procurement actions across multiple stages.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to translate technical requirements into clear procurement documentation and keep stakeholders informed.

Ability to work collaboratively within a PMO team structure and build effective working relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.

Prior experience in a NASA, federal agency, or government contractor procurement or program management environment.

Familiarity with NASA GSFC (Goddard Space Flight Center) organizations, processes, and procurement systems.

Experience with procurement or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Costpoint, or equivalent) for requisition and order management.

Knowledge of simplified acquisition procedures (FAR Part 13) and/or competitive proposal processes (FAR Part 15).

Experience developing or maintaining procurement tracking dashboards, pipeline reports, or status tools in SharePoint or similar platforms.

Familiarity with quality requirements integration into procurement documentation (e.g., certificates of conformance, inspection and acceptance plans).

Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM), or equivalent procurement certification preferred.

Experience supporting or working within a Program Management Office (PMO) structure.

Self-directed and proactive; comfortable managing ambiguity and driving procurements to closure with minimal supervision.
