Procurement Specialist

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of raw materials, packaging, and other supplies essential to our production. This role requires strong organizational and project management skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with finance, logistics, and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the purchase of raw materials, packaging, and supplies in alignment with production schedules and inventory levels.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
• Monitor market trends and pricing to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Track and manage purchase orders, deliveries, and invoices.
• Collaborate with finance to ensure accurate budgeting and reporting.
• Maintain procurement records and ensure compliance with company policies and food safety regulations.
• Assist in evaluating supplier performance and conducting periodic reviews.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and supply chain processes.
• Collaborate with Logistics for truck scheduling.

Requirements

• Some combination of a bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education with 2-4 years of experience in purchasing or logistics.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Desired Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

• Degree or minor in a business-related field.
• Experience working with SAP or similar ERP software.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite/365, especially Excel.
• Understanding of Bills of Material and MRP concepts.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
