Overview

As an IT Operations Procurement Specialist you will administer the day-to-day purchasing and record-keeping operations of products and services on behalf of IT Services.

This position will need to work Hybrid out of ePlus's HQ in Herndon, VA
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team and drive strategic sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain management initiatives. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing procurement processes, negotiating contracts, and optimizing supplier relationships to ensure the timely acquisition of quality materials and services. Your expertise will support manufacturing operations, logistics, and overall supply chain efficiency, contributing to the company’s growth and operational excellence.

Duties -The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage the life cycle of the telco / datacenter invoices from receipt to submission to Accounts Payable for payment (this includes review / audit of invoice charges based on contracted rates)
  • Track telco / datacenter spend ensuring it aligns with the current fiscal year’s budget which includes providing IT Management with periodic budget-related reports
  • Manage the datacenter contracts – facilitate the renewal process by engaging the Contracts Team, vendor, and Business Unit owners
  • Submit requests for circuit quotes to telco vendors and negotiate for competitive pricing
  • Provide back-up support to the Network Team which includes placing / tracking circuit orders (move, add, change, and disconnect)
  • Manage the mobile devices which includes billing, inventory, requests, and shipping
  • Assist in the management of telco equipment assets

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience supporting operations and/or IT functions
  • At least 1 year of experience managing telco orders, projects, and support
  • Familiarity with Docusign software is beneficial
  • Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Solid quantitative and analytical capabilities
  • Proven ability to manage small projects and coordinate team efforts
  • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to independently follow up on a wide range of issues
  • Experience coordinating equipment procurement, tracking purchases, and managing invoicing
  • Working knowledge of computers, IT hardware, and related equipment
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project, internet tools, and email platforms
  • Comfortable performing keyboard-intensive tasks for up to 90% of the workday

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $54,954.36 - $60,000.00 per year
