About The Role

This position seeks a professional who will work closely with different departments – both internal and external stakeholders. You will be part of a 4-person team based at the DFDS office in Istanbul, Türkiye, on a 1-year contract, reporting to the Purchasing Superintendent & Team Lead.

You will be responsible for managing procurement processes and supporting the digital procurement journey through business intelligence and master data management.

• Manage procurement processes for goods and services.
• Monitor the status of contracts and their provisions, evaluate them, and prepare relevant claim documents.
• Prepare order follow-up reports and distribute them periodically to all relevant groups.
• Resolve procurement-related issues arising between processes and suppliers.
• Handle urgent and diverse requests quickly and efficiently.
• Use internal systems and tools to track procurement data and support reporting.

About You

Our internal stakeholders are highly skilled and knowledgeable, so strong interpersonal skills are essential.

• Technical knowledge of vessels and marine engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years of procurement experience.
• Versatile, resilient, and able to navigate ambiguity effectively.
• Self-motivated and proactive.
• Flexible with working hours, as operations run 24/7.
• Fluent in English to communicate with multinational stakeholders.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Patient, positive, and resilient in challenging situations.
