Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finding goods and services for the company at the best value regarding quality and price. Additional responsibilities of this position include assisting in the analysis and preparation of contracts and working closely with upper management teams and outside vendors to meet project requirements.

Primary Functions & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for purchase order processing.
  • Defines the correct buying channel for each request and chooses the best supplier in terms of price, quality, and lead time.
  • Creates successful relationships with vendor contacts at all levels of the organization.
  • Assists in transitioning and monitoring contractual agreements for the organization's vendors.
  • Assists in implementing new vendors, including vendor creation and purchase order requests through the supplier relationship management tool.
  • Escalation of complex issues to the Supply Chain Manager.
  • Oversees the accuracy and timeliness of all vendor reporting. Ensures that reporting meets requirements problem solving for non-complex issues with operations users.
  • Maintains and monitors the Approved Supplier List (ASL) with input and feedback from Operations.
  • Determines if inventory quantities are sufficient for production needs.
  • Contacts vendors to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve receiving discrepancies and other problems.
  • Monitors vendor performance, recommending modifications when necessary.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of proven experience in transactional procurement within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with FRAC and other oilfield equipment fabrication, refurbishments, and other related equipment.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and with external suppliers.
  • Must have high school diploma, GED or equivalent.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
