Position Summary

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing and purchasing raw materials, equipment, and services necessary for production and company needed, as well as managing supplier relationships and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure the best quality, price, and delivery of goods and services.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to optimize terms and conditions.
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual agreements and quality requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, and contracts in company system.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, quality assurance, and finance and the other related departments, to ensure timely and efficient procurement of materials and services.
  • Coordinate with QA to conduct supplier auditing and ensure the suppliers’ activities compliant with our vendor management procedure.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable and sustainable supply chain.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices in procurement and supply chain management.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements and cost savings initiatives.
  • Provide general administrative support for the office.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • · Associate degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.

· 2+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.

· Knowledge of procurement and supply chain management principles, practices, and procedures.

  • Experience with ERP systems and procurement software.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Procurement experience in the Chemical Manufacturing industry.
  • Certification in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with chemical industry regulations and compliance.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze data to make informed decisions.
  • Ability to speak Chinese Mandarin language.
