Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Trainer to join our manufacturing bread bakery team. The Trainer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and conducting comprehensive training programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, GMPs, SQF standards, company policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). This role will play a critical part in onboarding new hires, retraining current employees, and maintaining a culture of safety, quality, and operational excellence throughout the bakery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training Development & Implementation:
- Design and deliver training programs for OSHA, GMPs, SQF, and company policies to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Develop and update training materials, including SOPs, to reflect current practices and standards.
- Conduct monthly training sessions for SQF and OSHA compliance across all departments.
- New Hire Onboarding:
- Facilitate training sessions for new hires during onboarding, covering safety protocols, GMPs, SQF standards, and bakery-specific SOPs.
- Ensure new employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills to perform their roles safely and effectively.
- Ongoing Employee Training:
- Conduct regular retraining sessions for current employees on all SOPs to reinforce best practices and address any gaps in knowledge.
- Provide as-needed training for SOP updates or changes in processes.
- Quality Assurance Training:
- Train employees on how to identify good and bad quality items, ensuring adherence to quality standards throughout the production process.
- Promote a culture of quality awareness and accountability among all team members.
- Compliance & Recordkeeping:
- Maintain accurate training records to demonstrate compliance with OSHA, GMPs, SQF, and other regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making improvements as necessary.
- Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with department managers and supervisors to identify training needs and address performance gaps.
- Act as a resource for employees, providing guidance and support to ensure understanding and compliance with policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in training roles within a manufacturing or food production environment, preferably in a bakery setting.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, GMPs, SQF standards, and food safety protocols.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
- Ability to adapt training methods to meet the needs of different learning styles and levels of experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other training tools/software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in OSHA, SQF, or other relevant safety/quality programs.
- Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) to support a diverse workforce.
Work Environment:
- This role requires working in a manufacturing environment, including production areas with varying temperatures, noise levels, and physical demands.
