Job Purpose
The
Procurement Specialist
will be responsible for managing day-to-day sourcing and procurement operations within
Bahrain
.
The role ensures timely availability of goods and services at optimal cost and quality, while maintaining compliance with company policies and supporting business growth.
It requires hands-on experience in supplier management, purchase order execution, and cross-functional collaboration with central procurement, logistics, finance, and local operations.
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

Identify and evaluate local and regional suppliers to support Bahrain operations.

Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and service quality under guidance from the Procurement Manager.

Build and maintain long-term supplier relationships, ensuring reliability and responsiveness.

Track supplier performance through defined KPIs (cost, quality, on-time delivery).
Procurement Operations & Compliance

Manage purchase requisitions and issue accurate, timely
POs
in the ERP system.

Ensure procurement activities adhere to internal policies, budgets, and approval workflows.

Support demand planning and stock replenishment in coordination with central and local teams.

Maintain full documentation for audit, compliance, and reporting purposes.

Coordinate with
Finance
to ensure timely vendor payments and resolve invoice discrepancies.
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication

Act as the
country procurement focal point
for Bahrain, liaising with Kuwait HQ on sourcing alignment.

Work closely with operations, logistics, and category teams to forecast and deliver procurement requirements.

Communicate clearly with suppliers on product specifications, timelines, and shipment requirements.

Handle supplier claims, delays, or quality issues collaboratively with relevant departments.
Data & Reporting

Maintain accurate supplier and PO data within ERP (SAP/Oracle).

Generate reports on procurement spend, supplier performance, and process efficiency.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cost-effectiveness and speed of operations.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in
Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

4–6 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain (FMCG, retail, or trading preferred).

Strong ERP knowledge (SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational abilities.

Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic, and cross-functional environment.
