Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Specialist to support purchasing and supply chain activities for hospitality construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, equipment, furnishings, and subcontracted services while ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. This role works closely with project managers, estimators, vendors, and field teams to support successful project execution across hospitality developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and procure construction materials, FF&E, equipment, and project-related services for hospitality construction projects.
  • Obtain and evaluate vendor quotations, negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Issue purchase orders and track orders from placement through delivery.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with project managers and superintendents to ensure procurement activities align with project schedules.
  • Monitor inventory levels and material requirements to prevent project delays.
  • Analyze purchasing data and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Review vendor performance regarding pricing, quality, responsiveness, and delivery reliability.
  • Resolve procurement-related issues, including shipment delays, shortages, damaged materials, and invoice discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies, project specifications, and contractual requirements.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records, vendor files, and procurement reports.
  • Collaborate with accounting to reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and payment schedules.
  • Stay informed about market trends, material availability, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain risks.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of procurement or purchasing experience, preferably within construction, hospitality, or commercial development.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, equipment, and procurement processes.
  • Experience negotiating contracts, pricing agreements, and vendor relationships.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of hospitality FF&E procurement is highly desirable.

Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
