This role sits right at the centre—responsible for identifying sources, building relationships, ensuring quality, and making sure supply never breaks. If you are hungry to learn, eager to be on the ground, and want to grow fast by owning real responsibility, this role will push you—in a good way.

What You’ll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)

As a Procurement Associate – Agri Produce & Commodities, you will:

• Identify and onboard sources for fresh produce and agri commodities (farmers and aggregators).
• Manage end-to-end procurement based on demand, quality standards, and pricing benchmarks.
• Be regularly on the field—visiting sourcing locations, checking quality, and understanding supply realities.
• Negotiate prices, volumes, and delivery terms with suppliers.
• Work closely with sales, logistics, and operations teams to align sourcing with demand.
• Track daily procurement volumes, pricing, wastage, and supplier performance.
• Step in quickly to resolve on-ground supply issues and ensure continuity.
• Support the scale-up of sourcing operations as ARL grows.

This is a hands-on, field-intensive role. You will be close to farms, people, and real execution.

Who We’re Looking For

• 2–4 years of experience in agri produce or commodity procurement / sourcing.
• Prior experience with companies such as Ninjacart, WayCool, Gourmet Garden, BigBasket, or similar agri aggregation platforms.
• Strong understanding of fresh produce and agri commodity sourcing, pricing, and quality checks.
• Comfortable spending time on the field and working closely with suppliers/farmers.
• Spoken language "Kannada" is a must.
• Someone who enjoys fast-paced environments and wants to grow with responsibility with Entrepreneurial mindset

Probation & Performance Review

We are a small but strong core team. We value people, intent, and culture deeply. Cultural fit matters as much as performance. This role will begin with a 3-month probation period.

Confirmation into a full-time permanent role will be based on performance during this period, with potential upside through higher pay or performance-linked incentives.

Probation period performance will be evaluated transparently and objectively on:

• Sourcing reliability and consistency
• Quality adherence and wastage control
• Pricing discipline and negotiation effectiveness
• Execution ownership on the ground
• Coordination with internal teams
• Work ethic, learning mindset, and attitude
