Position Summary:

The Procurement Specialist I is responsible for assisting with daily operations of the Procurement Department, supporting the procurement process through a variety of administrative and operational tasks. This entry-level position requires an individual with strong organizational and communication skills to ensure that procurement activities are completed efficiently and accurately

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist procurement specialists in entering purchase orders for materials, subcontracts, and rental equipment.
• Support the maintenance of purchase order logs and project-related spreadsheets.
• Expedite material purchases and rental equipment orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve issues such as missing materials, required Proof of Delivery (POD), quotes, or lead time inquiries.
• Coordinate vendor drawings with engineering and manufacturers to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Respond to phone calls, emails, and inquiries regarding daily procurement activities and provide clear and accurate information.
• Relay procurement-related information to other departments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support procurement operations.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, or equivalent, education is required
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or other applicable field is preferred
• Minimum of 1-year general office experience in a professional setting is preferred
• Ability to quickly learn new processes and systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Skills:
  • Strong reading and writing skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a team
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
