Procurement Specialist (Indirect)

AKSA, a company of Akkök Holding, was founded in 1968 in Yalova. Becoming the world’s largest producer of acrylic fiber over the years, Aksa today serves approximately 300 customers in over 50 countries across 5 continents. Having a capacity of 350.000 tons per year, Aksa supplies raw materials for textiles and technical textiles in many diverse areas.

We are looking for a " Procurement Specialist-Indirect " with the following qualifications to take part in the Direct Procurement Unit of the Procurement Department in our factory operating in Yalova.

Qualities We Are Looking For;

• Bachelor's degree preferably from related Engineering Departments of universities, or departments like Business Administration, Economics, Logistics, Chemistry,

• Preferably at least 2-3 years of experience in Purchasing/Procurement processes,

• Knowledge of ERP programs (Oracle, SAP),

• Successful in human relations, advanced negotiation skills, open to innovation,

• Proactive, high problem solving and communication skills,

• Have basic knowledge of Accounting/Financial Affairs,

• Having Contract Experience in Turkish and English,

• High amount of critical investment - experienced in maintenance contracts, orders,

• Fluent in English,

Your main tasks are;

• Manage the procurement processes of goods and services in the categories under their responsibility, in accordance with AKSA procedures, and with the principle of "right price, right time, right quality."

• Execute contract processes with suppliers; ensure coordination with relevant units, obtain approvals, and monitor contracts.

• Coordinate transportation processes with the Logistics and Import departments to ensure timely delivery of orders; direct the Import Operations Department for international purchases and monitor letter of credit/guarantee processes.

• Collaborate with the Accounting and Finance departments to ensure timely payments by performing purchasing transactions and invoice checks.

• Propose and implement digitalization-focused process improvement and development projects.

Ensure supplier management (finding new/alternative suppliers, classification, performance evaluation, sustainability).

• Monitor quality and deadline performance by maintaining regular communication with suppliers and take preventative measures to prevent recurring problems.

• Monitor global developments and material prices in the sector and provide proactive suggestions in line with trends.
