- Applications invited from experienced professionals (minimum 5-6 years) only.
- Candidates must have worked with Shipping Companies (local and global).
- Procurement & Sourcing Operations: Manage the end-to-end procurement process, from receiving material requisitions (MRs) to final delivery and invoice processing.
- Source and procure technical spares, valves, machinery parts, electrical systems, safety gear, and subcontracted services.
- Translate engineering and technical specifications into accurate sourcing requirements.
- Vendor Management & Negotiation:
- Identify, qualify, and develop a robust network of local and international suppliers, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and ship chandlers.
- Conduct vendor benchmarking, evaluate bids (RFQs), negotiate pricing, terms, and warranties to ensure optimal cost-effectiveness (TCO).
- Monitor supplier performance and manage non-conforming materials or service issues.
- Compliance & Quality Assurance (QA/QC):
- Ensure all procured items and services adhere to marine/classification society standards (e.g., DNV, ABS, BV, Lloyd's) and company HSE requirements.
- Coordinate with Management, Operations and Quality control teams to ensure compliance.
- Logistics & Inventory Control:
- Oversee logistics, including transportation, customs clearance, import/export documentation, and delivery to vessels or shipyards.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams for receiving, inspection, and inventory management.
- Manage urgent shipments for critical operational needs or breakdown situations.
- Cost Management & Reporting:
- Track procurement costs, identify savings opportunities, and prepare periodic reports and budget analyses for management.
- Maintain procurement records and manage purchase orders .
- Working Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) (e.g., SAP, Oracle, AMOS, NetSuite) would be desirable.
