POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the procurement process, onboarding suppliers to company vendor pools and ensuring a cost-effective business operation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Gather and maintain a variety of information about suppliers by obtaining vendor/supplier information and contacting appropriate individuals.
- Reviews procurement-related documents to evaluate and synthesize information gathered to ensure its completeness, accuracy, and compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Register vendors in SRM. (business and non-business)
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms, contracts, and pricing agreements.
- Assist department head to monitor supplier performance, addressing any issues and ensuring consistent quality and timely delivery.
- Drive the use of procurement tools and systems to enhance visibility and control over procurement activities.
- Continuously review and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Implement best practices and technology solutions to streamline procurement operations.
- Ensure procurement activities adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Promote ethical behavior and transparency in all interactions with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Other tasks assigned by department head.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ college degree in supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Finance, or related field
- 3+years’ experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Industry with solid knowledge in managing supplier relationships and achieving cost savings.
- Negotiation skills and the ability to influence outcomes while maintaining positive relationships.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of accountability for results.
