Salary: $46,920 - $62,897 annually*

The Procurement and Supply Specialist 2 provides administrative support to multiple divisions as part of the Operational Business Office, ensuring consistency and efficiency across financial and administrative processes related to procurement, purchasing, reconciling, and inventory tracking and management for supported divisions.

Essential Functions

  • Monitor monthly purchases for supported departments, receiving approved purchasing orders, placing orders, and tracking for delivery in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Maintains record systems and perpetual inventory records, which may include coordination with IT and Facilities in establishing and maintaining master records or inventory systems.
  • Ensure alignment with relevant State Contract and procurement guidelines for current or potential vendors/suppliers.
  • Ensure obtained equipment is “tagged” when appropriate and coordinate with relevant departments to distribute using work order system.
  • Manage inventory and departmental assignment of assets, tracking all assignments and changes in appropriate software.
  • Maintain a central database of active contracts, subscriptions, and licenses for supported departments with financial and contractual obligations and expirations/renewals.
  • May assist Purchasing and other department staff with information regarding vendor performance.
  • Performs ongoing contract and contractor evaluations to ensure goods and services are delivered and by contract requirements.
  • Coordinate with Procurement to ensure compliance with state and college purchasing policies.
  • Review HelpDesk/Acquisitions tickets for quotes or purchases.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience working in an administrative setting
  • intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Desired Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in business administration or a closely related field.
  • One to three years of relevant professional experience in purchasing, inventory management, or accounts payable.

Please note that we are unable to sponsor visas for this position. Only candidates who are currently authorized to work in the United States will be considered.

This is a full-time classified position scheduled to work 40hours a week, with a salary range of $46,920 - $62,897 annually. All classified positions will start their salary at Step A, when you have completed six months of probation, you will receive a 5 percent pay increase. A collective bargaining agreement exists, and this position is covered by the Washington Public Employees Associate (WPEA) Union. Classified positions qualify for the following benefits:
