Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement & Shipping Coordinator to manage purchasing activities and oversee shipping and logistics operations. The ideal candidate will ensure timely procurement, cost efficiency, and smooth coordination with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement
- Source, negotiate, and procure household goods, and packaging as per company requirements
- Maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers
- Prepare and process purchase orders and ensure timely deliveries
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the sales and warehouse teams to avoid shortages or overstocking
- Ensure compliance with company policies and cost targets
Shipping & Logistics
- Coordinate import and export shipments (sea, air, and land)
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and clearing agents
- Prepare and verify shipping documents (Invoice, Packing List, BL, COO, etc.)
- Track shipments and ensure on-time delivery
- Coordinate customs clearance and ensure compliance with UAE regulations
- Resolve shipment delays or discrepancies efficiently
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement and shipping coordination (FMCG/household industry preferred)
- Strong knowledge of import/export procedures and documentation
- Experience dealing with international suppliers and freight forwarders
- Proficient in MS Excel
- Good negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Experience in the UAE market is mandatory
