Ø Procurement Cost Engineer

1. Responsible for cross-checking and approving the cost of materials from suppliers/sub-contractors quotation against approved BOQ prior to proceeding for LPO process.

2. Price negotiation with sub-contractors and suppliers for final approval of Commercial Manager.

3. Perform detailed cost analyses to identify optimal procurement options aligned with budget constraints and quality standards.

4. Communicate to QS Department all additional or variation items required by the clients.

5. Responsible for correctness of supplier and sub-contractor invoices, delivery notes, LPO/agreement, joint measurement sheet, etc.

6. Responsible for corrections made from invoices for any kind of safety violations, damage and safety issues occurred on the site.

7. Coordinate with Project Managers to get the completion document, stage progress report to validate suppliers’ payment.

8. Responsible for taking management’s special approval on material/services quotations that are not covered in our main quotation/contract with clients.

  • Collaborate with project managers and designers to understand technical aspects of material requirements.

10. Perform detailed cost analyses to identify optimal procurement options aligned with budget constraints and quality standards.

11. Perform evaluations to recognize and assess suppliers based on quality, price and dependability.

Ø Projects Cost Analyst

12. Develop and maintain project cost plans using appropriate software applications.

13. Responsible for validating and approval of the material request (MR) from the project managers (manual or ERP).

14. Responsible for validating and approving the monthly Work Done Report from the Project Managers – (manual or ERP).

15. Responsible to validate and approve the Productivity report from the Project Managers through ERP/manually and cross-check the Manpower allocations against the works done.

16. Responsible for raising reports in Budget vs Actual through the ERP or manual.

17. Ensure that overall Item ledger entries are updated in the ERP system,

18. Ensure that warehouse/site receipts (GRN) are submitted/updated in the system by the Project Managers/Site Engineers.

19. Monitor and control cost commitments and expenditures through all phases of project lifecycle.

20. Liaise with procurement, finance, and other parties as required, to ensure accurate and timely capture of procurement, materials, subcontract and labour manhour costs.

21. Cross-functional coordination engineering, procurement and construction functions, and others as required, to maintain awareness of project activities and their impact on the project budget, schedule and cost forecast.

22. Monitor and report on cost impact of project manpower forecasts

23. Monitor cost impact of achievement/non-achievement of major project milestones

24. Monitor overall project cost performance and contingency drawdown.

25. Effectively provide Reports and guidance to the company management.
