Produce and Shelves Associate

Job Overview
We are a small family grocery store looking to hire a reliable and hardworking Produce and Shelves Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will help maintain fresh produce displays, stock shelves, assist customers, and ensure the store remains clean and organized.

Responsibilities

Prepare fresh bread for customers and ensure bread is available throughout the day.
Unload delivery trucks and move products safely to storage and sales areas.
Assist with placing orders for produce and monitoring inventory levels.
Receive and unload produce deliveries, checking items for freshness and quality.
Organize and stock produce displays to keep fruits and vegetables fresh and attractive.
Ensure shelves are fully stocked, organized, and properly labeled.
Check products for quality, expiration dates, and damage.
Remove spoiled, damaged, or expired items from shelves and displays.
Help with inventory checks and restocking throughout the shift.
Assist customers with locating products and answering questions.
Organize customer baskets and carts and return them to designated areas.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the produce section and shelf areas.
Keep the store clean, safe, and well organized at all times.

Experience

Prior experience in retail, grocery is preferred.
Familiarity with fresh produce, or inventory management is a plus.
Experience in stocking shelves, handling deliveries, and organizing products.
Customer service experience is helpful for assisting shoppers and answering questions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, follow safety procedures, and maintain cleanliness.
Ability to lift boxes and products (up to 20–30 lbs).
Polish language skills preferred to assist customers.
