Produce Associate

The produce associate will work directly under the produce manager and help with the workflow, organization, and cleanliness of the produce department. Strong communication skills are required as this position interacts directly with customers. Strong organizational skills are required as the produce associate will help with all produce ordering as well as floral ordering and keeping the shelves full, neat, and organized. The position requires the candidate to be able to stand for most of the day and lift up to 40lbs. Some job requirements include cutting fresh fruit to retail on shelves, packing out produce shelves with new product that comes in, putting extra back-stock away in the walk-in and storage rooms, checking the stand daily for freshness, and keeping an eye on inventory so that new product may be ordered. This is not an all inclusive list of everything the produce associate will be doing. Produce experience is preferred but not required if the candidate has other strong features. A keen interest in fresh food is important. Retail experience will be preferred. Some nights and weekends will be required

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
