Produce Associate

Job Summary
Join our team as a Produce Associate and become a vital part of delivering fresh, high-quality produce to our valued community! In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the freshness and presentation of produce items, organizing produce in the walk in and floor display, daily stocking and cleaning, and keeping track of inventory and food waste. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help create a welcoming shopping environment while supporting efficient store operations. This paid position offers opportunities to develop valuable skills in retail sales, inventory management, and warehouse procedures—all while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

Duties

• Stock and replenish produce displays with fresh, high-quality items, maintaining attractive and functional merchandising standards
• Be able to lift 50lbs and walk/stand for extended periods of time.
• Assist customers with product inquiries, offering friendly and knowledgeable service to enhance their shopping experience
• Manage inventory control by conducting regular stock checks, rotating produce to minimize waste, and identifying damaged or expired items for proper disposal
• Has a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating beautifully organized spaces.
• Skillfully manage the unloading and loading of produce deliveries.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of produce sections, including cleaning displays, packaging produce for sale, and ensuring compliance with safety standards
• Assemble produce orders twice a week.

Experience

• Previous experience or familiarity with inventory management is preferred but not required; training will be provided no matter your level of experience.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during stocking or shipment handling
• Experience with retail sales or service industry is strongly encouraged.
• Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising techniques, and waste management are a plus.
• Strong organizational skills to effectively manage stock levels and maintain a clean, well-organized workspace.
