Produce Clerk - Experienced

Wild Roots Market in Felton and Boulder Creek, are independently owned and operated serving the San Lorenzo Valley community. We support local farmers, organic food purveyors and artisan food producers. We offer those great local products and a full line of Natural Foods to the San Lorenzo Valley community. We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are passionate about high quality food and beverages. We need someone who is Customer Service oriented and can motivate others. We are looking for individuals who can make a commitment to sustainable values and to us by becoming a member of our Produce Team. This is an hourly, full time position and includes weekends. Discount card available.

We are looking for an EXPERIENCED Produce Clerk.

Produce Clerk - Full time, Weekends 6:00am - 2:30pm, Mon - Wed 12:30pm - 9:00pm.

The successful candidates will have:
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a produce department and/or farmers market preferred

- Knowledge of all varieties of fruits and vegetables

- Knowledge of local farms
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly nature
- An understanding of inventory and waste control procedures
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a growing and evolving company

Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in cold conditions in walk-in refrigeration
- Must be able to use small appliances and sharp tools in the kitchen, including knives
