Grocery Outlet in Englewood is hiring a full-time Produce Lead to take ownership of our produce department during the morning shift.

This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in keeping a produce department fresh, full, clean, rotated, and ready for customers every day. The right person will be comfortable working independently, moving quickly, staying organized, and communicating clearly with store leadership.

This is a great fit for someone with produce, grocery, stocking, retail, restaurant, or fresh-food experience who wants a steady Monday-through-Friday morning schedule and real ownership over a department.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the daily condition and presentation of the produce department
• Keep produce displays full, fresh, clean, and shoppable
• Work produce deliveries quickly and efficiently
• Rotate product properly to protect freshness and reduce shrink
• Organize and maintain produce backstock
• Pull poor-quality product and communicate issues early
• Help manage markdowns, freshness, and department flow
• Keep produce tables, wet racks, cooler areas, and workspaces clean
• Follow daily routines and department standards consistently
• Communicate clearly with store leadership about needs, concerns, and opportunities
• Help train and support produce team members as needed

Requirements

• Produce, grocery, stocking, retail, restaurant, or fresh-food experience preferred
• Must be reliable, consistent, and able to work independently
• Must be comfortable working at a steady pace
• Must be detail-oriented and able to notice freshness and quality issues
• Must be able to follow routines and maintain standards without constant supervision
• Must be comfortable receiving feedback and improving
• Must be able to lift, bend, stock, and stay on your feet throughout the shift

Schedule

This is a full-time morning position.

The schedule is Monday through Friday. Weekend availability is not required for this role.

Physical Requirements

This position requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, stocking, working in coolers, moving product, and maintaining a steady pace throughout the shift.

Pay

Starting pay is $18.00 per hour.

Performance will be reviewed based on department standards, reliability, communication, speed, shrink control, organization, and consistency.
