Position Summary

The Product Analyst is responsible for collaborating with the Product Owner to support project management, feature/industry investigation, and technical documentation for eShipping’s business initiatives. Any specific training or skill development will be provided as needed during employment. An ideal candidate is constantly curious, creative, and detailed in and outside of the office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Work alongside or facilitate meetings for the Product Owner to gather requirements for Engaged Technologies’ initiatives from business and internal stakeholders
  • Conduct investigation or research into industry best practices
  • Participate in software release management and validation
  • Amend or create documentation as software or business requirements change
  • Assist the software support team in validating issues or covering responsibilities
  • Assist QA team with devising test scenarios or recreation steps for new features or bugs
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Knowledge of the transportation market and transportation technology
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to make data-driven decisions

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and explain complex, abstract issues and respond appropriately
  • Able to utilize sound, independent judgment and make responsible decisions and recommendations

Minimum Education and Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in the transportation industry and familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) is required, as context and pattern recognition will contribute to your success.
  • Understanding of software development processes and technologies; ability to work effectively with engineering teams
  • Must be comfortable working in Atlassian (JIRA), GitHub, Microsoft 365 suite including Planner, SharePoint, Teams, Power Automate.

  • Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is inside a central heat and air-conditioned office building or in their home office environment. The noise level in the work environment is minimal.
