Product Designer

Position Overview:
Shamojee is looking for a highly creative and detail-oriented Product Designer to develop innovative furniture, décor items, and fabric-based products. The ideal candidate should have strong aesthetic sense, market awareness, and the ability to convert ideas into practical, production-ready designs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design new furniture products, décor items, fabric patterns, and accessories based on trends and customer needs.
• Develop sketches, 2D drawings, 3D models, and technical specifications for production.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and merchandising teams to finalize materials, finishes, and construction methods.
• Research global design trends, color stories, textures, and market innovations.
• Create mood boards, design boards, concept presentations, and product development proposals.
• Modify existing product designs for improvement in quality, aesthetics, or cost efficiency.
• Review production samples, provide feedback, and ensure final products match design requirements.
• Prepare timely reports on new trends, upcoming designs, and product development progress.
• Maintain strong coordination with suppliers, sample makers, and in-house craftsmen.
• Ensure all designs align with brand identity and current market demand.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Textile Design, Fine Arts, Interior Design, or any related field.
• 1–3 years of product design experience (furnishing or home décor industry preferred).
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D modeling tools, or similar.
• Strong creativity, aesthetic sense, and knowledge of design principles.
• Ability to convert concepts into detailed, production-ready technical drawings.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
