About Us

We’re building a new generation of safe, reliable, premium electronic vaporizers for the tobacco market. Our focus is on exceptional user experience, robust engineering, and from concept to high-volume manufacturing.

The Role

We’re looking for a hands-on product designer who can design an electronic vaporizer from scratch, with strong competency in electronics and hardware development. You’ll own the product development process end-to-end—working across industrial design, mechanical engineering, firmware, manufacturing, and compliance.

This is not a purely visual/UX role. We need someone who can bridge form + function + electronics and confidently drive real hardware to production.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead end-to-end hardware product development for electronic vaporizers: concept → prototypes → EVT/DVT/PVT → mass production
  • Translate user needs into product requirements (performance, safety, reliability, cost, manufacturability)
  • Define and drive the electrical system architecture, including:
  • Power systems (Li‑ion battery selection, charging, protection, power regulation)
  • Heating control (temperature sensing/feedback, control strategy coordination with firmware)
  • Embedded components (MCU selection support, sensors, LEDs/haptics, optional connectivity like BLE)
  • Partner with PCB/layout engineers (or do it yourself, depending on your skillset) to create:
  • Schematics, BOM, component selection, design reviews, bring-up support
  • Collaborate on mechanical design constraints: thermal management, materials, ergonomics, assembly, tolerance stack-ups
  • Build and iterate prototypes quickly (bench work), including:
  • Soldering/rework, using test equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, power supplies, electronic loads)
  • Debugging early-stage issues with cross-functional teams
  • Drive design for manufacturing (DFM/DFA) and supplier readiness:
  • Vendor selection, CM/ODM collaboration, tooling readiness, assembly line considerations
  • Own and/or support validation and reliability planning:
  • Thermal testing, cycle testing, drop testing, ingress considerations, safety analysis
  • Ensure product design aligns with applicable consumer electronics safety and compliance expectations (region-dependent)

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience designing and shipping consumer electronics (battery-powered devices strongly preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to take products from scratch to production (not just concept)
  • Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals:
  • Power electronics basics, battery safety/protection concepts, charging, sensors, thermal constraints
  • Comfort working hands-on with hardware prototypes and debugging
  • Familiarity with manufacturing realities:
  • Injection molding, CNC/metal parts, adhesives/fasteners, assembly processes, tolerance management
  • Strong cross-functional communication—able to align design, engineering, quality, and manufacturing
  • Portfolio or case studies showing shipped hardware and your specific contributions

Nice to Have

  • Direct experience with vaporizers, heating devices, e-cigarettes, or other compact thermal consumer devices
  • Experience designing for regulated categories and compliance processes (e.g., FCC/CE, RoHS/REACH, battery transport considerations)
  • Experience with BLE-connected consumer devices and companion app collaboration
  • Experience working with overseas manufacturing partners (China/Vietnam/Mexico/etc.)
  • Familiarity with material selection considerations for components in the airflow/heat-adjacent areas (durability, cleanliness, long-term stability)

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

  • You’ve produced a clear product architecture and development plan (industrial design + electronics + mechanical)
  • Early prototypes validate core experiences: heating performance, battery life, usability, safety
  • You’ve aligned suppliers/manufacturing constraints with a realistic path to EVT/DVT
  • Device examples find here: https://shorturl.at/58M2Z

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary/Rate: [₹20,00,000–₹24,00,000] depending on experience (plus bonus where applicable)
  • Flexible time off, hardware budget, and travel for manufacturing builds (as needed)

How to Apply

  • Resume or LinkedIn
  • Portfolio (PDF or link) showing shipped products
  • 2–3 bullets describing your role in at least one battery-powered consumer device launch
  • (Optional) A short note on your comfort level working in the tobacco industry

Equal Opportunity

We’re committed to building a diverse team and provide equal employment opportunities to all applicants.
