Saat & Saat is looking for a Product Development Manager/ Executive to lead the product development process from concept to launch. This role will be responsible for creating innovative products, managing supplier and stakeholder relationships, and delivering collections in line with brand expectations and commercial targets.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Product Design, Engineering, Product Design, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product development, design, sourcing, manufacturing, or related functions
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept creation to production launch
• Ability to balance commercial objectives with design excellence, translating market opportunities into successful products
• Knowledge of consumer trends, market insights, materials, manufacturing processes, and product innovation
• Experience preparing product briefs and managing product development projects from concept to launch
• Experience working with manufacturers and suppliers, preferably in Asia (China / Hong Kong)
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Product Development, Design, Marketing, Planning, Supply Chain, Finance, Foreign Trade, and Operations teams
• Experience working with both in-house and external designers, agencies, suppliers, and development partners
• Ability to identify and develop collaboration, licensing, co-branding, and special collection opportunities
• Passion for design, innovation, and consumer trends, combined with a proactive, hands-on, and entrepreneurial mindset
• Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
• Advanced English proficiency is required
Responsibilities
• Lead product development projects from concept creation to final production and market launch
• Develop products that support both commercial objectives and brand positioning
• Identify new product opportunities through market research, consumer insights, trend analysis, and competitive benchmarking
• Prepare and manage product briefs for internal and external design partners
• Coordinate closely with Marketing, Planning, Supply Chain, Finance, Foreign Trade, and Operations teams throughout the product development process
• Work with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and product requirements are achieved
• Support product costing, pricing, profitability evaluations, and business case assessments during development stages
• Monitor development timelines and proactively manage risks related to sourcing, production, imports, and product launches
• Manage relationships with manufacturers, suppliers, in-house designers, freelance designers, and external development partners
• Explore and develop collaboration, licensing, co-branding, and special collection opportunities that create value for the portfolio
• Monitor product performance and recommend portfolio improvements, innovation opportunities, and corrective actions when needed
• Drive continuous improvement in product development processes, tools, and ways of working
• Support the development of seasonal collections, innovation roadmaps, and long-term portfolio strategies
• Ensure products are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with brand expectations
