  1. ROLE PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE
  2. This role is responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and managing Transaction Banking products, including Cash Management Solutions (CMS), Virtual Accounts, Payments & Collections, APIs/H2H, Liquidity Management, and Mandate Management.
  3. The role will own end-to-end product lifecycle management for Transaction Banking offerings from requirement gathering, roadmap creation, BRD preparation, development oversight, testing, launch, and post-launch optimization.
  4. The candidate will closely work with business teams, branches, corporates, fintech partners, vendors, IT, compliance, and operations to scale adoption, improve transaction volumes, increase CASA balances, and deliver superior corporate customer experience.




  1. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

Business/ Financials

  • Create and maintain the Transaction Banking product roadmap covering CMS, VA, APIs, H2H, Liquidity, Mandates, and future enhancements
  • Prepare Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) and business cases for new initiatives and enhancements
  • Drive CASA growth, transaction volumes, and fee income through adoption of Transaction Banking solutions
  • Partner with business teams (Branch Banking, MSE, TASC, FIG, NBFC, Fintech) to identify use cases and onboard clients
  • Benchmark bank’s Transaction Banking offerings against industry best practices and competitors

Customer (Both Internal & External)

  • Design seamless end-to-end customer journeys for Payments, Collections, Reconciliation, and Liquidity Management
  • Create onboarding kits, user guides, FAQs, and training material for corporate customers
  • Support branches and relationship managers in solutioning and client discussions
  • Review customer complaints, TAT breaches, and operational issues; convert them into product improvements
  • Define communication strategy for new features, regulatory changes, and product enhancements

Internal Process

  • Prepare and maintain BRDs, FRDs, SOPs, Process Notes, and Operating Manuals for Transaction Banking products
  • Coordinate with IT, vendors, and operations during development, UAT, and production rollout
  • Prepare test scenarios, test cases, and UAT signoffs for all enhancements
  • Ensure compliance with RBI / NPCI / regulatory guidelines related to payments, collections, mandates, and APIs
  • Respond to audit observations, compliance queries, and internal reviews
  • Support periodic reporting related to Transaction Banking transactions and volumes

Innovation & Learning

  • Track industry trends in Payments, APIs, Open Banking, Liquidity, ERP integrations, and CMS platforms
  • Identify automation and digitization opportunities across transaction banking processes
  • Conduct periodic training and refresher sessions for Branch Banking, MSE, TASC, and Operations teams
  • Develop training modules and coordinate integration with HR learning platforms
  • Participate in mandatory training programs and continuous skill development initiatives

Qualifications

  • Graduate/Post-Graduate degree


Experience (Years and Core Experience Type)

  • 5–7 years of total experience Banking
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in on the following:
  • Cash Management Solutions (CMS)
  • Virtual Accounts
  • Payment & Collection products
  • API / Host-to-Host integrations
  • Liquidity Management
  • Mandate Management (eNACH / UPI Autopay)
  • Experience in Product Management / Business Analysis preferred
  • Exposure to Corporate Banking / SME Banking products
  • Experience working with IT, vendors, and external partners
