Product Manager

Abacus Business Computer (abcPOS) is a New York City-based POS systems company providing end-to-end solutions, including POS systems, merchant services, and growth marketing. With over 30 years in the industry, abcPOS serves more than 6,000 customers and supports 40,000 installed devices across restaurants, retail, e-commerce, and franchise businesses.

We are looking for a product-driven, design-minded Product Manager to lead the development of next-generation POS experiences.

Must be Fluent in Chinese and English

Responsibilities:

Product Ownership & Strategy

• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle from ideation to launch, including research, planning, roadmap, and execution
• Define and evolve product strategy based on customer insights, market trends, and business goals
• Translate product vision into clear, actionable requirements for engineering teams
• Create product documentation such as PRDs, use cases, and business impact analysis

UX/UI & Product Experience

• Lead the UX/UI design process across POS terminals (handheld, countertop, kiosks), mobile apps, and web dashboards
• Design intuitive, user-centered experiences across hardware and software platforms
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using tools like Figma
• Simplify complex workflows into efficient and elegant user journeys
• Contribute to and evolve our design system

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with engineering teams across the US and China
• Partner with marketing, sales, and operations to align product direction with business goals
• Coordinate with QA and support teams to ensure high-quality product releases
• Lead product and design reviews, driving alignment across stakeholders

Market & Customer Focus

• Conduct user research and gather feedback to identify product opportunities
• Define product positioning and contribute to go-to-market strategies
• Support sales enablement with product insights and materials

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years (or more) experience in product management or product design
• Strong UX/UI design skills with proficiency in tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
• Experience managing products through the full development lifecycle
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment
• Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in POS systems or hospitality industry
• Background in software development or web technologies
• Experience working in startups or high-growth environments
• Strong understanding of UX principles and design systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
