Key Responsibilities

Define long-term strategy and roadmap for all accessories across River vehicles (Indie, and future models)

Prioritize accessory development based on customer insights, market gaps, and business potential

Establish pricing and positioning frameworks to ensure portfolio profitability and brand coherence

Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to define bundling strategies, seasonal promotions, and kit offerings

Drive the end-to-end lifecycle: Concept → Design → Prototype → Validation → Production → Launch

Create detailed L0/PRDs (Product Requirement Documents) covering Fit, Form, Function, Performance, Smart Features, and Serviceability

Coordinate with Design, R&D, Sourcing, Service, and Quality teams along with the Program team to ensure accessories meet functional and aesthetic standards

Oversee accessory testing for durability, safety, and performance in real-world conditions with CFT

Serve as the single point of accountability connecting tech and non-tech teams

Track project metrics: Monthly sales, sales variations, Time-to-Market, Cost variance, Quality index, and Conversion rate

Deeply understand customer needs, usage patterns, and pain points across different personas

Partner with CX, Service, and Sales teams to capture field data and drive continuous improvement

Own accessory attachment and penetration metrics; define interventions to increase penetration rate per vehicle

Drive accessories integration into the digital ecosystem (River App, dealership configurator, e-commerce store)

Own the P&L for the Accessories Vertical – including cost optimization, revenue targets, and margin management

Build business cases and ROI models for each new accessory program

Identify localization opportunities and vendor rationalization to improve margins

Monitor warranty, failure rate, and service costs to ensure long-term profitability

Maintain a live portfolio tracker with status of every accessory: In-Development, Production, In-Market, Phase-Out

Manage SKU rationalization and refresh cycles to ensure portfolio relevance and efficiency

Coordinate phase-out planning with Service and Supply Chain to ensure smooth transitions and spare support

Develop feedback loops from service centers and customers to plan Next Gen iterations

Strong understanding of product lifecycle management and accessories ecosystem (automotive, lifestyle, & consumer electronics)

Excellent analytical, and people skills

Customer-first mindset with ability to translate insights into tangible product decisions

Financial literacy (pricing, P&L, ROI, payback analysis)

Hands-on experience working with design, quality, and manufacturing teams

Proficiency in documentation (PRD, Business Case, Specification Sheets) and digital tools (Excel, Sheets, Power BI, etc)
Ideal Candidate

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
-
MBA or Postgraduate in Product/Business Management preferred
-
Around 3 to 5 years of experience in Product Management — ideally in automotive, EV, or consumer product categories
-
Experience managing multi-accessory portfolios and cross-functional teams is highly desirable
