Product Manager – Digital Nano Lending (Risk, Strategy, Implementation & Portfolio Analytics)

Role Summary

Product Manager – Digital Nano Lending will support the execution, optimization, and monitoring of UBank’s digital nano lending business. The role will work closely with Risk policy, Technology, BI, Operations, and external partners (e.g. scoring / LMS vendors) to manage digital lending workflows including origination, scoring, disbursement, repayment, collections, and portfolio monitoring.

The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating lending implementations, formulating BRDs / PRDs and system enhancements, monitoring portfolio performance and KPIs, and ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of the digital lending ecosystem.

The role will also support rollout and evaluation of new digital lending initiatives including BNPL, EWA, and other unsecured lending products.


Key Responsibilities

1. Digital Lending Strategy & Execution

  • Support execution of digital nano lending initiatives across vendor-led and in-house lending models.
  • Assist in translating lending strategy, underwriting logic, fraud controls, and customer journeys into system and workflow requirements.
  • Working with vendors on AI based credit scoring model enhancements and optimization
  • Support formulation of BRDs / PRDs / process flows for digital lending products and enhancements.
  • Coordinate implementation activities across Risk, Product, Technology, BI, Operations, and external partners/vendors.
  • Manage day-to-day coordination with lending/scoring vendors & LMS partners including issue resolution, parameter changes, reconciliations, and performance monitoring.
  • Develop understanding of LMS, scoring, repayment, and collections workflows to support implementation, troubleshooting, and enhancements.
  • Support pilot launches, rollout planning, execution tracking, and post-launch optimization.
  • Support identification, evaluation, and implementation of new digital lending initiatives and use cases including BNPL, EWA, embedded finance, and other unsecured lending products.


2. Vendor & Partner Management

  • Coordinate with lending/scoring/LMS vendors for integrations, implementation, testing, and ongoing optimization.
  • Support technical and business evaluations of vendors, APIs, scoring models, and lending capabilities.
  • Monitor vendor deliverables, implementation timelines, SLA adherence, and issue resolution.


3. Portfolio Monitoring & Risk Analytics

  • Monitor portfolio performance across the credit lifecycle including:
  • Origination
  • Approval rates
  • Disbursements
  • Repayments
  • Collections & delinquency
  • Track portfolio KPIs including:
  • PAR 1 / 30 / 60 / 90
  • Vintage & cohort analysis
  • Segment & TCL band performance
  • Roll rates & collection trends
  • Funnel conversion metrics
  • Work closely with Risk and BI teams to identify early warning indicators and portfolio optimization opportunities.
  • Support policy calibration, limit strategy analysis, and portfolio segmentation initiatives.
  • Ensure optimal risk management for the portfolio.


4. Product & Lending Operations

  • Support implementation of:
  • Scoring workflows
  • Fraud controls
  • Disbursement & repayment journeys
  • Collections triggers and customer communication flows
  • Coordinate UAT cycles, issue resolution, production deployment, and operational readiness activities.
  • Ensure implementation documentation, approvals, and change tracking are maintained.


5. Commercial & Performance Management

  • Support monthly portfolio and P&L monitoring including:
  • Revenue
  • Cost of Funds
  • Bad Debt
  • Net Contribution
  • Track portfolio profitability, disbursement trends, and performance against business targets.
  • Support business case evaluations and financial impact assessments for lending initiatives and partnerships.


6. Governance & Stakeholder Management

  • Coordinate with Risk, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Finance, BI, and Technology teams to drive execution readiness.
  • Prepare portfolio insights and management updates for business and risk review forums.
  • Liaison with PMO to ensure timely delivery of digital lending products & use cases.


Required Experience & Skills

  • 4– 6 years of experience in Digital Lending / Fintech / Consumer Lending / Microfinance.
  • Strong understanding of the digital credit lifecycle including:
  • Origination
  • Underwriting
  • Fraud controls
  • Repayment
  • Collections
  • Portfolio analytics
  • Experience working with digital lending vendors, APIs, or lending platforms.
  • Understanding of how loan disbursements work in digital environments.
  • Experience with AI based credit scoring models along for nano loans along with understanding of Lending management systems.
  • Exposure to portfolio monitoring, delinquency analytics, and credit KPIs.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into structured BRDs / PRDs / workflows.
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder management, and execution coordination skills.
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional, fast-paced digital product environments.

Experience with digital lending ecosystems such as fintechs and microfinance banks. Experience across BNPL / EWA and other digital lending products is a plus. Experience in credit cards is a plus.
