As the Product Manager for Residential ERVs (Energy Recovery Ventilators) at RenewAire, you will lead the full product lifecycle—from strategy to launch—ensuring our residential ERV portfolio continues to set the standard for performance, innovation, and energy efficiency.

You’ll translate market insights into actionable product vision, collaborate cross-functionally across engineering, marketing, sales, and operations, and drive decisions that support revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and company-wide strategic goals.

What Product Managers – Residential ERVs Do (Essential Responsibilities)

Product Management

  • Define and own the product strategy and roadmap for the Residential ERV product line.
  • Manage the full product lifecycle—from concept to launch and ongoing optimization.
  • Align product development with evolving market trends, building codes, and industry standards.
  • Author market requirements documents informed by deep market research and customer engagement.
  • Maintain awareness of competitors, pricing, emerging technologies, and market shifts.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally (Engineering, Marketing, Operations) to deliver successful product releases.
  • Build and execute go-to-market plans in partnership with senior leadership and sales teams.
  • Support channel partners with technical training, presentations, and sales enablement.
  • Participate in industry trade shows and support annual budget planning.

Product Marketing

  • Develop marketing strategies, campaigns, and product launch plans to increase awareness and demand.
  • Create sales tools, training materials, and technical content that support market positioning.
  • Analyze product performance, pricing, and placement to drive profitability.
  • Stay current on heating/ventilation industry marketing best practices.
  • Identify new tools, technologies, or services to support sales growth.

Customer & Market Feedback

  • Gather and evaluate customer feedback, system designer insights, and warranty/service data.
  • Use feedback to inform product improvements, refinements, and long-term product development.
  • Conduct market research to ensure products continue to meet evolving industry needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or related discipline.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in product management with proven product launch success.
  • Understanding of ERV systems, psychrometrics, or energy recovery principles (preferred).
  • HVAC industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in market analysis and competitive intelligence (preferred).
  • Microsoft Office proficiency; advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, or product configurator systems.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Specific vision required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Must be able to understand issues, problems, and opportunities and make timely, sound decisions. Take responsibility for decisions and understand the impact and implications of decisions and provide feedback as necessary. Communicate with other employees and customers, perform an assortment of administrative tasks, and have personal management skills. Possess advanced customer service skills, the ability to develop professional relationships with customers and employees.
