About the role
Nyle Water Heating Systems is looking for a Product Marketing Designer to help bring our products, documents, and brand to life in the HVAC and commercial plumbing industries.
This role is perfect for someone who can simplify complex information into clear, professional materials for engineers, contractors, sales representatives, and customers. Approximately 50% of this role is dedicated to the design, layout, and production of technical product documents, including submittals, spec sheets, manuals, and other related materials. The other 50% is focused on creating on-brand graphics and assets for marketing, including website, social media, and sales tools.
You will work with content from internal experts and shape it into professional, easy-to-use documents and marketing materials. You will bridge the gaps between engineering, product, and marketing, producing assets for technical audiences.
This is a hands-on role for a designer with strong typography, editorial layout skills, and a practical mindset. Strong verbal and written communication skills are key.
What you’ll do
- Design and format technical product documents such as submittals, spec sheets, manuals, service documents, and related materials
- Turn source content from engineering, applications, service, and product teams into polished, organized, brand-consistent documents
- Design sell sheets, brochures, social posts, presentations, and other product marketing materials
- Create polished sales tools and templates for reps and internal teams
- Support product launches with strong visual materials and collateral
- Follow document version control, naming conventions, file organization, and release workflow
- Support knowledge base and training content with strong visual structure and layout
- Help maintain brand consistency across product and marketing touchpoints
- Support photography, video, and product renderings when needed
You’re a good fit if you…
- Love turning dense, detailed content into clean, readable, professional layouts
- Have strong typography and page layout skills
- Take pride in consistency, structure, and polish
- Can work from technical source material
- Like collaborating with subject matter experts and asking smart questions
- Are organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing files, templates, and document updates
- Can shift between technical documents, sales collateral, and presentations without losing quality
This may not be a good fit if you…
- Want a brand-only or campaign-only design role
- Prefer free-form creative work over document-heavy production work
- Have trouble with technical content, data, or multi-page layout work
- Get frustrated working with multiple departments or review cycles
- Lose interest in structured, detail-oriented work
What you get
- Room to grow at a rapidly growing company with a strong future
- A strong benefits package, with medical, dental, disability coverage, and a 401(k) with employer match
- Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time
- A supportive team that values ownership, teamwork, and steady improvement
- The chance to work on innovative products that help move heating toward a cleaner energy future
- Meaningful work that helps customers through better tools, better documents, and better support
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in marketing design, editorial design, product marketing, or a related field
- Strong typography, layout, and information design skills
- Experience designing multi-page documents such as brochures, white papers, manuals, catalogs, spec sheets, or presentation decks
- Strong copy editing and content organization skills
- High attention to detail and strong file management habits
- Ability to work with dense, detailed source material and turn it into clear, useful layouts
- Ability to adapt to new tools and platforms quickly
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Experience in HVAC, plumbing products, construction, manufacturing, or other technical B2B industries
- Technical writing familiarity, though not required
- Familiarity with WordPress or content management systems
- Basic knowledge of web content structure
- Experience with KeyShot or product rendering tools
