Product Operations Data Analyst

Location: San Francisco, CA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

About the Role

Vizcom is looking for a Product Operations Data Analyst who thrives on turning complex data into meaningful insights that drive business and product decisions. You’ll explore large user-support datasets, identify patterns, and build real-time dashboards that make it easy for teams to see what’s working—and what’s not.

Your mission is to detect friction before it escalates, keep teams aligned with accurate and timely data, and enable smarter, faster decisions across the company. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Sales, and Engineering to maintain clean pipelines, improve data visibility, and ensure consistent reporting across the organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain self-serve dashboards and reporting tools that empower non-technical teams to explore data independently.
  • Define a unified metrics taxonomy for service health and performance, with automated pipelines and scorecards for consistent, real-time insights.
  • Analyze model usage and adoption trends, uncovering friction points and informing roadmap priorities.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to translate findings into actionable strategies that improve performance and customer experience.
  • Lead deep-dive analyses and special projects, delivering clear, data-backed recommendations to executives.
  • Prototype analytics and tools quickly using ChatGPT, Jupyter notebooks, Retool, and similar platforms before hardening with Engineering.
  • Collaborate on predictive models and experiments, connecting analytical outcomes to operational improvements.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years in analytics, business intelligence, or data science, ideally supporting customer support or operations teams.
  • Expert SQL skills and proficiency in Python or R for advanced analysis and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with BI tools (Looker, Mode, Tableau, or Sundial) and designing dashboards with a strong focus on clarity and usability.
  • Proven ability to distill complex data into stories that influence decisions at every level.
  • Familiarity with support metrics (SLAs, FCR, deflection) and defining service-health KPIs.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset for working across technical and operational teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, bias for automation, and a proactive approach to maintaining data integrity.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-moving environments where priorities shift quickly.

Tech Stack

  • SQL
  • Python / R
  • Looker, Mode, Tableau, or Sundial
  • Jupyter Notebooks, Retool
