Product Owner

Product Owner/Scrum Master | Charlotte, NC (Onsite)

We are hiring for an experienced Product Owner / Scrum Master to support a software development team in a fast-paced Agile environment. This hybrid role combines backlog ownership, Agile delivery, and sprint execution to help drive the successful delivery of high-quality software products.

This position works closely with Product, Engineering, QA, and Leadership teams to translate business needs into actionable development work while helping teams stay aligned, productive, and delivery-focused.

The ideal candidate is hands-on in both Product Ownership and Scrum execution—not just facilitating meetings, but actively driving organization, prioritization, and delivery outcomes.

ResponsibilitiesProduct Ownership

• Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities align with business needs and delivery goals
• Write detailed user stories and define clear, testable acceptance criteria
• Work closely with stakeholders, developers, QA, and leadership to gather and refine requirements
• Prioritize backlog items based on business value, urgency, and sprint capacity
• Ensure backlog readiness and maintain sprint-ready work for development teams
• Support feature delivery from concept through release

Scrum Master / Agile Delivery

• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including:
• Sprint Planning
• Daily Stand-Ups
• Backlog Refinement
• Sprint Reviews
• Retrospectives
• Track sprint health, delivery progress, team capacity, and blockers
• Help remove impediments and proactively manage delivery risks
• Promote Agile and Scrum best practices across the development organization
• Ensure Jira boards, sprint tracking, and reporting remain accurate and organized
• Support release planning and deployment coordination when needed

Required Qualifications

• 3–6+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, or similar role
• Strong experience supporting software development teams in Agile/Scrum environments
• Hands-on experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria
• Strong Jira experience including backlog management, sprint tracking, and reporting
• Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and driving sprint execution
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum principles, and SDLC processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM), CSPO, or SAFe certifications preferred
• Experience working with distributed or cross-functional technical teams
• SharePoint and Microsoft Office experience preferred
