Product Photographer

MVP Disc Sports is a sporting goods company based in Marlette, Michigan. We are a growing organization with a mission to be the leading edge in technology and innovation in all areas of disc golf. Our commitment to excellence drives us to push boundaries in design, manufacturing, and media.

We are seeking a talented Product Photographer to join our Marketing team and help visually showcase the Leading Edge in Disc Golf. This role is responsible for producing high-quality product imagery that supports e-commerce, marketing campaigns, and brand initiatives.

The ideal candidate has experience in studio-based product photography within an e-commerce environment and understands how to accurately capture color, texture, and detail. Experience with portrait or lifestyle photography is a plus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Photography & Editing

  • Photograph discs, apparel, accessories, packaging, and limited-edition releases in a studio setting.
  • Capture accurate color, shape, and product details, including stamp foils and plastic variations.
  • Edit and retouch images for lighting, clarity, and color accuracy while maintaining brand standards.
  • Export images optimized for web, print, and social media.

Studio & Equipment Management

  • Maintain an organized studio space, lighting setups, backdrops, and equipment.
  • Ensure proper care and maintenance of cameras, lenses, lighting, and editing stations.
  • Maintain an efficient and repeatable workflow to support high product volume.

Asset Management & Collaboration

  • Upload and organize digital assets according to company file management systems.
  • Partner with e-commerce, marketing, and design teams to meet launch and campaign deadlines.
  • Ensure timely delivery of finalized product images.

Brand Consistency

  • Follow brand standards for lighting, backgrounds, presentation, and file naming.
  • Contribute ideas to improve workflow efficiency and visual consistency.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Media Manager within the scope of photography responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Visual Arts, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2+ years of product photography experience, preferably in a studio or e-commerce setting.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom or similar editing software.
  • Strong understanding of lighting, composition, and color correction.
  • Ability to manage high-volume product shoots under deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience photographing sporting goods, apparel, or reflective and irregularly shaped objects.
  • Familiarity with color-checking tools and tethered shooting.
  • Experience managing digital assets in Google Drive.
  • Basic video or motion experience is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Studio-based role with occasional off-site shoots.
  • Extended periods of standing and equipment handling.
  • Occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 per hour
