About the Role
ANDRITZ is seeking a Product Quality Manager to lead quality execution for fabricated and welded engineered equipment. This role partners closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Project Teams to ensure quality compliance from fabrication start through final delivery. This position is welding‑adjacent and fabrication‑focused, with an emphasis on inspection planning, supplier oversight, and corrective action, rather than serving as a full‑time welding inspector.
Responsibilities

Lead product and project quality execution for fabricated and welded equipment

Develop and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and quality monitoring strategies

Support fabrication shops and suppliers with welding quality expectations, inspection readiness, and process controls

Partner with Engineering to translate drawings, specifications, and standards into executable quality plans

Lead root cause analysis, nonconformance resolution, and corrective/preventive actions

Conduct and support supplier audits, qualification, and quality oversight

Serve as a technical quality interface with internal teams and external customers

Drive continuous improvement initiatives across fabrication, inspection, and supplier performance
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline (Master’s a plus).

Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality, Project Quality, or Manufacturing Quality roles within pulp & paper, power, metals, chemical, process industries, or large fabrication environments.

Foundational / working exposure to welding and fabrication environments, with familiarity to AWS welding standards at a practical (AWS D1‑level) awareness. Advanced welding code expertise can be developed with training and mentorship.

Strong working knowledge of machining, surface preparation, and mechanical testing methods.

Demonstrated ability to perform dimensional inspections, interpret drawings/specifications, and verify compliance across multiple stages of fabrication.

Experience supporting or participating in supplier audits and supplier quality oversight (preferred).

Experience with failure analysis, nonconformance resolution, and root cause analysis (RCA) (preferred).

Familiarity with pulp & paper or other heavy industrial equipment is a plus.

Ability and willingness to travel internationally (occasional travel to Asia and Europe as required).
Required Skills

Location: Greater Atlanta, GA (Hybrid – local travel to supplier & fabrication sites required)
