Production Administrator

  • Populating and maintaining the integrity of data on the ERP system, ensuring that all data elements are up to date and accurate at all times.
  • Coordinating and expediting the workflow of all jobs to ensure that the sales and works orders expected completion dates are met.
  • Prioritizing raw materials and inventory for manufacturing and assembly using D365 in liaison with other team members and supply chain.
  • Liaising with workshop and supply chain colleagues to estimate lead times as required at the customer operation and contract review stage.
  • Exploring and developing inventory functionality in D365 to ensure it is being used to maximum effect (e.g use of maximum and minimum levels and re-order quantities etc)
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance history and other relevant records and certification for rental assets, including flagging to the sales team and Operations Engineer when certification is due.
  • Complying with established company processes.
  • Ensuring all relevant shipping documentation and operation related activities are correct and filed where necessary.
  • Contributing to the management and implementation of relevant reports to be communicated to Managers/Directors.
  • Active involvement and identification of continuous improvement opportunities with huntings processes and systems.
  • Populating bill of materials and liaising with cataloguers to get part numbers entered in the entity and always activating the latest approved version using On-Base.
  • Initiating works orders using MRP and setting delivery dates to be met in line with the sales order dates.
  • Creating purchase requisitions as and when necessary.
  • Implementing required modifications upon receipt of engineering change notice (ECN) and updating relevant documentation and processes.
  • Regularly maintaining the master sheet for all sales order/rental/service jobs to be able to update all departments.
  • Assisting stores and production with urgent requests as and when deemed important.
  • Liaising with engineering if there are new service requests needed.

  • Travel may be required on an ad hoc basis, so a degree of flexibility is required
  • Ad hoc duties as reasonably required from time to time

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

Relevant degree or equivalent workplace experience




Demonstrable experience in an operations environment or similar role




Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications




Knowledge and experience of an ERP system, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365




Highly proficient in spoken and written English




Full Driving Licence
