We are looking for someone to assist in the production and warehousing environment of a spring-manufacturing facility. This role will handle all secondary spring-making operations. This fast-paced shop is ISO 9001-2015 certified and driven to provide quality products to our customers in a safe work environment for our team.

Brief Job Description:

Learn to manufacture springs and wire forms to customer specifications and support operations on the shop floor.

Duties:

1. Secondary Operations:

  • Bend, form, trim, grind, deburr, etc. unfinished parts.
  • Load springs into and out of the heat-treating oven.
  • Accurately measure parts using a variety of instruments.
  • Inspect, measure, weight, count, and pack parts to be shipped.

2. Machine setup and operation:

  • Setup and run mechanical and CNC spring machines.
  • Read and understand drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Calculate dimensions and make machine adjustments.
  • Identify, isolate, and resolve machine problems.
  • Lubricate, clean, and maintain machines and workspace.

3. Shipping/Receiving:

  • Assemble, fill, and prepare containers for shipping.
  • Palletize, band and label boxes of parts.
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Weigh and store incoming material.

Qualifications (not required but helpful)

  • Previous experience in manufacturing or warehousing environments
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Understanding of inventory management and order fulfillment processes
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Basic knowledge of safety regulations and practices in a manufacturing setting

Other Details:

A drug test will be required prior to hiring. Compensation to depend on experience. Ample training will be provided. Wermke Spring offers a competitive compensation package including health insurance, 401K, vacation, and paid holidays.
