Production Artist – Apparel Graphics & Screen Printing (In-Office)

Description:

On The Road Apparel (IDM, Inc.) is a growing wholesale screen printing and embroidery company in Orlando. We decorate apparel for resorts, attractions, gift shops, and retailers across the country.

We’re looking for a dependable Production Artist to join our in-office team. This is not a conceptual design role. We need someone strong on the technical production side who can take artwork and get it press-ready quickly and cleanly.

What you’ll do:

• Clean up, vectorize, and prepare customer logos and artwork in Adobe Illustrator
• Create professional apparel mockups and color variations (placing designs on garments in different colors/styles)
• Perform background removal, upscaling, retouching, and minor file fixes
• Prepare clean, organized files for screen printing production (proper color modes, layers, file structure)
• Work with the sales and art team on revisions and file corrections
• Maintain organized artwork libraries and follow production workflows

Requirements:

• 1–3+ years professional experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop (portfolio required)
• Strong vector skills and understanding of print production basics (spot colors, file prep, etc.)
• Experience creating apparel mockups or product visualizations is a big plus
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced shop environment
• Must be comfortable working full-time on-site in our Orlando facility (this is not a remote position)

Nice to have:

• Experience in screen printing, embroidery, or apparel decoration
• Familiarity with mockup tools (Placeit, Smartmockups, etc.)
• Basic understanding of color separation or pre-press workflows
