Production Assembler I

Position Title: Assembler

Department: Production

Reports to: Production Manager

Overview: The Assemblerprefabricates materials necessary for installation of a rink floor.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

Essential Functions:

1. Manufacture of sub-header manifolds

2. Assembly of perma-pipe and porta-pipe mat systems

3. Drill, tap and assemble perma-pipe and porta-pipe headers.

4. Assemble fittings for fast-freeze floors.

5. Cut and assemble materials for subsoil heat headers.

6. Assembly of small products such as glass supports, timekeeper' s tables and boxes...etc.

Additional Functions:

1. Obtaining samples from raw material received prior to using new tubing.

2. Building shipping spools for mats

3. Good housekeeping of assigned work area.

4. Physical inventory participation

5. Accurate record keeping for requisitioning of materials.

6. Cut jigs for various radius mats.

Other Qualifications:

1. Capable of effectively using the following tools:

• Basic Hand Tools

• Crimping pliers

• Plastic tubing cutter

• Tape measure

• Circular Saw

• Acetylene soldering torch

• Header Drill Stand

• Chop Saw

• Pipe Wrench

2. Capable of applying the following skills:

• PVC Gluing

• Simple Layout

• Reading a tape measure to the sixteenth increment

• Reading simple engineering drawings.

• Soldering copper pipe to 1" diameter

3. Capable of applying the following knowledge:

• Math skills to include adding and subtracting whole numbers and fractions
